What is Dance Divas Performing Company?
An exciting opportunity for students who love to shine on stage. The Company is intended for dedicated dancers with above average talent. A strong level of commitment, a positive attitude, and the ability to work well with others is required. The Company's 2008/2009 season includes a Christmas Show, local dance festivals, community events, the Spring Showcase, and a field trip to perform in Disneyland.
How are students selected for the Company?
Each fall, our Director chooses students to participate in the upcoming Company season. To be considered, students must meet the following requirements:
- Students must be age 7 and up;
- They must have at least one full year of ballet training (September to June) at Dance Divas;
- They must be taking a minimum of two ballet classes, plus one other class of a different dance discipline (i.e. jazz, tap, or hip hop), per week.
Students who are chosen for the Company will be notified in September each year. Company rehearsals will start in October.
